This weekend see's the young people of Hartlepool taking part in the Slum Survivor challenge. A group of about 40 young people will be spending the weekend living in the kind of conditions that about one sixth of the worlds population have to suffer from every day in the many slums around the world.

By spending a few days the in the way that billions spend a lifetime, living in temporary shelter, eating a limited diet and facing tough challenges and choices the young people will be raising funds and awareness of the povery that some people have to suffer.

This is the first event of it's kind taking place in Hartlepool and the young people would appreciate your support.

This weekend we have 52 young people from English Martyrs School attending the Ultimate Event at Alton Towers. They will be spending the day on the rides in the theme park before enjoying an evening of amazing music from some of the top Christian artists in the country.
