The almost annual pray over is in full swing tonight at St Cuthbert's Parish Centre here in Hartlepool. The young people have already taken part in 4 prayer sessions so far this evening and although spirits are high just now we expect that to be tested just a little bit as the night goes on!

Here's a little preview piece we filmed right at the start of the evening with Beth and Luke talking about their expectations for the night ahead:

Take a look at our playlist from the session we did looking at different parables from the Bible. All seven groups had a different story to look at and interpreted them in many different ways:

The final day of our Lent retreat and as always this was our time to celebrate all that we had done together over the weekend. Each group spent the morning preparing their own contributions to our final mass and it was great to see the way in which different groups presented their individual parts to the rest of us through drama, poetry and music to name a few.

There was of course still time to enjoy a wonderful Ampleforth Sunday lunch and pose for our final group photograph outside of Alban Roe before we departed back to Hartlepool. It's safe to say that this was a very special retreat and a massive thank you goes to the young people, teachers and people of the parishes who took part in Ampleforth 2012.

This was a great day for everyone on our Lent Retreat! The group this year was a real mix between each age group in our school and once more the people of the parishes brought something special to the weekend by sharing their own faith journey with us. Biblical fancy dress for Miss Malcolmsons Big Night In was a great success too although I'm not too sure Mr Linden, Jeremy or Fr Phil enjoyed the final game too much!

It's that time of year again where we've just got back from our Lent Retreat again with the young people of The English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College and our friends from the Hartlepool parishes too. Here's a quick video of some of the things we did on the Friday evening, look out for more coming soon...
