Last weekend the representatives from the Hexham and Newcastle Diocese met up at the Youth Village as part of their pilgrim preparation for World Youth Day. Anne-Marie Lavelle, Bernadette Malcolmson, James Race and Andrew Trueman from Hartlepool are all taking part in this event and really enjoyed meeting the rest of the group for the first time.
Part of our weekend involved taking part in the Derwent Walk, we weren't sure how many miles it was and are still not sure even though we completed it but all we can say is that it was a LOT of miles and that the aches are blisters are still there now! A great weekend though and one which has helped us in our journey towards Madrid in August 2011.
